the pricklies
the pricklies are a five-piece indie/alternative rock band from columbus, ohio - influenced by music a la nada surf, radiohead, jimmy eat world, the wallflowers, and guster (just to mention a few). through powerful lyrics and crowd-engaging sets, they create an exciting live performance. in light of an outstanding midwest tour and a self-produced album with something for everyone, the pricklies have attracted a loyal and enthusiastic fan base in central ohio and beyond.since 2002, benjamin wagner (vocals, guitars), brian turner (drums, percussion), jake rogers (guitars, vocals, bass), alex helin (bass, vocals, guitars) and josh lundfelt (keyboards, vocals) have released one EP (2004) and recently (2007), a self-titled album to positive reviews and acclaim. both are freely available for download on the website.
the pricklies are currently booking for their 2008 tour of the eastern united states. the band is prepared to attract larger crowds, embrace more fans and expand their musical horizons as they continue to perform across the country.
